In
a perfect world, a piano, as well as your
home air, should maintain a constant relative
humidity range of 42%-52%. Anything over
or under this range results in sticking
keys, stiff response, tuning instability,
buzzing noises, and generally unacceptable
sound. In the southwest, these problems
can be compounded to include cracking soundboards
and failing tuning pin blocks.
We
have been installing the Dampp-Chaser®
Piano Lifesaver systems, an onboard
humidification system for your piano, for
30 years now, with complete success and
systems lasting for 20 years or more. Pianos
with these systems installed have historically
shown an ability to maintain tuning and
overall stability, and generally seem to
require only annual tuning and servicing,
as opposed to six month interval servicing
with unprotected seasonal changes.

systems click here.
Our price on installation of a system is
$450 and includes a five year warranty.
You can order a system for installation
on your purchased piano, or have us ship
it to you directly to install yourself.
